The first dog shows are always memorable. They mark the beginning of a journey of learning, experience, and a deeper appreciation for purebred dogs.
For Chelines Nestea, our Wirehaired Kaninchen Dachshund, the CAC Timișoara 2016 weekend was an encouraging start.
Competing over two consecutive days, Nestea achieved 2nd Place in his group on both occasions.
At that time, our participation in dog shows was driven by passion and the desire to learn more about the breed, its standard, and the evaluation process. Every exhibition offered valuable opportunities to observe outstanding dogs, meet experienced breeders, and better understand the qualities that define an excellent Dachshund.
Looking back today, these early exhibitions played an important role in the development of Tonyawire Kennel. They strengthened our interest in the Wirehaired Kaninchen Dachshund and encouraged us to continue studying pedigrees, genetics, and responsible breeding.
Although Nestea was primarily a beloved family companion, he was also one of the dogs that inspired our future breeding program. Every step of that journey—from our first exhibitions to the carefully planned litters we have today—started with experiences like these.
We would like to thank the judges, exhibitors, and organizers for a wonderful weekend and an excellent beginning to our journey in the world of Wirehaired Kaninchen Dachshunds.
