International dog shows provide an opportunity to compare outstanding representatives of the breed under internationally respected judges. For Mandowal Call for Tonyawire (Cleo), the CACIB Szilvásvárad, Hungary, held on 16 May 2016, became another memorable milestone in her young show career.
At only 11 months of age, Cleo was awarded Best of Breed (BOB) under the respected Portuguese judge Mr. Luís Gorjão-Henriques. Competing against a strong entry of Scottish Terriers, she was selected as the best representative of the breed, confirming the excellent quality of her pedigree, structure, movement, and typical Scottish Terrier expression.
Winning Best of Breed at such a young age was an important achievement and reinforced our confidence in the carefully selected bloodlines behind Cleo. It also confirmed that she possessed the qualities required by the FCI Breed Standard, qualities that later made her the foundation female of the Tonyawire Kennel Scottish Terrier breeding program.
Today, Cleo’s influence extends far beyond the show ring. Through the generations bred under the Tonyawire prefix, she continues to contribute to the development of our breeding program.
